Ayushi, Biology tutor

Ayushi is an experienced Biology and Health Sciences tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience across the IB, Cambridge, Edexcel and Indian curricula. She supports students from secondary school through A-Level and IB Diploma level, with particular expertise in Biology. She holds an MSc in Pathobiology from Mahidol University and brings a strong academic and research background to her teaching. Her experience includes supporting students with IGCSE Biology, AS & A-Level Biology and IB Biology at both Standard and Higher Level.

Ayushi combines a thorough understanding of the subject with a practical, exam-focused approach. She is particularly attentive to helping students understand complex scientific concepts, apply their knowledge to unfamiliar questions and communicate their answers using the terminology and level of precision expected by examiners. Ayushi combines clear conceptual teaching with focused exam preparation. She first works to identify gaps in understanding and then adapts lessons to the student’s specific needs, whether they are learning new content, consolidating schoolwork or preparing for examinations. For exam preparation, she uses past papers, mark schemes and command terms to help students understand how questions are structured and what examiners are looking for. She places particular emphasis on scientific terminology, accurate written responses and applying concepts rather than relying on memorisation alone.

Her lessons are supportive and interactive, encouraging students to ask questions, explain their reasoning and gradually become more confident and independent learners.

Alongside her teaching career, she has a strong research background, with peer-reviewed publications in journals including Cell & Bioscience and the Journal of Cellular Biochemistry. This research experience gives her a deeper understanding of biological concepts and allows her to bring real scientific context into her lessons.
