“Shy really enjoyed the session and really likes your way of engaging and teaching. She says you made her feel at ease and is very happy that you've helped her prepare for a test. She says you explained everything really well. I'm really happy, thank you 😊”

“Kenan has been teaching our son Mathematics and English and we couldn't be happier with him. Kenan has a very relaxed way with children but still keeps him focused and makes sure the work gets done. We've noticed that our son is much more confident with both subjects and doesn't complain about lessons anymore, which, as a parent, says a lot! He has built a really good relationship with him and looks forward to their sessions each week.”

The tutor plans practice around the tasks and timing of that test.
Start lessons
One-to-one online lessons. We prepare you for the test. We do not book it for you.
Here's what sets us apart
Tutors for this test
We match a tutor for the test you are sitting. Lessons do not follow a school syllabus.
True 1-on-1 Learning
No group classes. Each lesson works on the score you need and the tasks in that test.
The test you named
The digital SAT has its own sections and timing. We stay on SAT practice, not ACT papers.
Progress You Can See
A practice plan and feedback on the tasks you are preparing. We do not guarantee a score.
Interactive Platform
Live whiteboard, shared resources, and real-time collaboration.
What we cover
What we cover for the SAT
The tasks we practise. This is not a school syllabus.
Reading and Writing
One section of the digital SAT, scored from 200 to 800. This is the section people sometimes still call SAT verbal.
Math
The other section, also scored from 200 to 800. Lessons can focus on Math, Reading and Writing, or both.
The total score
The two section scores add up to a total from 400 to 1600.
Not the ACT
The ACT is a different test. Its composite is English, Math, and Reading, from 1 to 36, and Science is optional. We do not mix the two formats in one plan.
Common mistakes
And how working with a private online tutor can help your child avoid them
Using old paper-SAT timing and section names.
Lessons follow the digital SAT: Reading and Writing, and Math.
Preparing with ACT papers for an SAT date.
The tests are different. We stay on the SAT if that is the test you are sitting.
Treating Reading and Writing as optional.
Both sections count toward the 400 to 1600 total. We plan the mix you need.
Aiming at a total the college does not ask for.
Bring the published score requirement, and we plan around that total.
Ignoring calculator rules on Math.
Lessons follow the digital SAT Math tools and timing, not a school exam calculator policy.
Study strategy
How lessons work for the SAT
Name the test, then practise that format. We do not use another exam's syllabus.
- 1
Before the first lesson
Name the test
Tell us the exact test or course, the score you need, and the date if you have one. We do not book the test for you.
- 2
Before you book
Meet the tutor
The free Meet and Greet is a conversation. You decide whether the tutor knows the test you are sitting.
- 3
Through the preparation
Weekly practice
Lessons work through the tasks for that test, at your pace.
- 4
As the sitting approaches
Timed practice
Closer to the sitting, lessons use the timing and task types of that test. We do not invent a test date.
Tactics
Bring the score the college or programme has asked for.
Practise the digital SAT sections you will sit.
Do not mix SAT practice with ACT papers.
Recommended approach
Start while there is time to practise each part of the test. A short block of lessons can still help if the date is close, as long as we know which test you are sitting.
What your child will achieve
What you can expect from the SAT tutoring
Realistic outcomes when your child commits to the process
Practice on the digital SAT sections you are taking
A target on the 200 to 800 section scale
A plan that does not mix SAT and ACT formats
A tutor prepares you for the test. We do not book the test, and we do not guarantee a score.
